The Master Brain

The brain is a very important organ that needs to be stimulated. Stimulation of the brain comes by way of learning, and learning is a process that happens to us daily. We sometimes don't even realize that we are learning however, any new idea or thought process is a sign of learning. According to Brain-Based Learning, http://www.funderstanding.com/content/brain-based-learning all brains are unique, different from others and depending on how the brain is exercised would determine the absorption of what is being taught or consumed. The professional article states:

The three instructional techniques associated with brain-based learning are:
  1. Orchestrated immersion–Creating learning environments that fully immerse students in an educational experience
  2. Relaxed alertness–Trying to eliminate fear in learners, while maintaining a highly challenging environment
  3. Active processing–Allowing the learner to consolidate and internalize information by actively processing it
What's interesting is that problem sovling techniques  usually come later in the brains function, which makes higher education easier to handle more difficult learning situations. Medical NewsToday http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/8410.php states, "The brain's center of reasoning and problem solving is among the last to mature, a new study graphically reveals. The decade-long magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) study of normal brain development, from ages 4 to 21, by researchers at NIH's National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) and University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) shows that such "higher-order" brain centers, such as the prefrontal cortex, don't fully develop until young adulthood"

The brain is a very powerful organ that controls all aspects of ones being. We should allow it to absorb as much as we can and exercise it just as any muscle in our body.
